MURDER MYSTERY CLOSED AFTER 18 YEARS; COPS ARREST 4 INCLUDING VICTIM'S OWN MOTHER

According to Times Now, on June 4, 2001, a murder of an unidentified man took place in Hyderabad. After the investigation, the police were unable to find any leads, hence it was declared as an "undetected case".
As per the reports in the Times of India, the police have arrested four accused in the case after 18 years, including the victim's 70-year-old mother. The accused were victim's friend, victim's brothers-in-law and victim's mother.
The victim was the eighth son of his mother and was 30 years old at the time of murder. When one of the accused was questioned during checking as part of election enforcement, he, under the influence of alcohol, admitted to participating in the murder and claimed that it was a full-fledged planned murder during the interrogation.
He stated that the victim was financially depended on his mom and at the same time he got addicted to drinking and playing cards. He also physically assaulted his family members and demanded money. Tired of this, the victim's mother decided to murder him with the help of her sons-in-law. The accused are booked under the charges of murder.
