According to reports, a man died on the spot after his bike lost control, fell into an open manhole and exploded inside. Reports suggest that the 27-year-old man was travelling in sector 20 in Mumbai at around 12.30 am when the incident occurred. Smita Jadhav, the senior inspector of NRI police station, reportedly said the man was drunk. She further added that the manholes along the stretch were left open as the construction work of a pipeline and road was going on.
