The Delhi metro services on Magenta Line has been suspended after a massive fire broke out at a furniture factory in Shaheen Bagh near Kalindi Kunj metro station on Friday morning, reports Times Now. There were, however, no reports of casualties, Delhi Fire Services said. The reason behind the fire is not known yet.

“Train movement has been stopped temporarily between Jasola Vihar Shaheen Bagh and Kalindi Kunj due to smoke and fire from a fire underneath the section. We regret the inconvenience,” the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) tweeted.

“Short loops are being run between Janakpuri West and Jasola Vihar Shaheen Bagh. No service between Kalindi Kunj and Botanical Garden temporarily,” the tweet continued.

Around 17 fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the flame and the fire is now under control. "The fire was reported at 5.55 am, and 17 fire trucks were immediately rushed to the spot," said Delhi Fire Services Director Atul Garg, according to news agency IANS.
