MEDIA HOUSES MUST PAY RS 10 LAKH EACH FOR REVEALING IDENTITY OF KATHUA RAPE VICTIM, SAYS DELHI HC

According to reports, the Delhi High Court on Wednesday ruled that the media houses that revealed the identity of the victim in Kathua rape case must pay Rs 10 lakh each as a penalty. The court said that the fund will be diverted for the Jammu and Kashmir victims’ compensation. The HC also reportedly warned that anyone who discloses the name of a person who was raped can be jailed for six months.
