Hardcastle Restaurants, McDonald's franchisees for West and South India, retailer Lifestyle and a Honda dealer have reportedly been served notices by the Goods and Services (GST) anti-profiteering law for allegedly not passing the benefit of cost reduction to consumers. Reports say the authorities have been given time till January 12 to file their reply to the notice admitting that the benefits of the tax rate or input credit have not been passed on to consumers.
