SOON AFTER POSTING SELFIE ON FACEBOOK, MARATHI SINGER DIES IN ROAD ACCIDENT   

In a shocking case, renowned Marathi playback singer Geeta Mali was killed in a road accident in Maharashtra's Thane district. The unfortunate incident took place minutes after she posted a selfie on her social media handle. 

According to NDTV reports, she had landed in Mumbai from the US after a two-month long trip where she was performing at various shows. 

The incident took place when Geeta Mali and her husband Vijay were on the Mumbai-Agra highway, heading towards Nashik. At around 3:00 pm, their car rammed into a container parked along a road, NDTV further reported. 

With the help of locals and police on duty, Geeta and her husband were taken to Shahpur Rural Hospital where she died during treatment.

Other than singing, Geeta  also produced music albums.
