As India crosses the 400 mark of positive cases in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to social media stating after the government imposed severe rules and restrictions to prevent further spread of coronavirus, many people are still not taking the lockdown seriously.
PM Modi also urged to ensure that the directives are followed by people across all states. "Many people are still not taking the lockdown seriously. Please save yourself, save your family, follow the directives seriously. I request the state governments to ensure that the rules and laws are followed," the Prime Minister tweeted in Hindi.
Meanwhile, the government has also ordered states to "strictly enforce lockdown" and legal action will be taken against those who violated the restrictions.
Currently, at least 80 districts in India, including the metro cities- Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and Bengaluru are on complete lockdown after the country stayed indoors on March 22 to contain the spread of coronavirus or COVID-19. Check out the tweet below:
लॉकडाउन को अभी भी कई लोग गंभीरता से नहीं ले रहे हैं। कृपया करके अपने आप को बचाएं, अपने परिवार को बचाएं, निर्देशों का गंभीरता से पालन करें। राज्य सरकारों से मेरा अनुरोध है कि वो नियमों और कानूनों का पालन करवाएं।
