A 21-year-old man named Ambareesh Poojary knocked down and injured a senior citizen named Mallayya Kalaal as they were driving down the Kallangaraga - Thinchasur main road in Karnataka on a two-wheeler. The local residents who witnessed the accident reportedly began to beat up Ambareesh and the pillion rider of the vehicle he was driving. The thrashing allegedly led to his death after which he was thrown into a well, but residents allege that he fell into the well on his own to escape the beatings. The police are currently investigating the incidents and have registered a case against the attackers.
