In a shocking case that took place in broad day light, a man was allegedly brutally hacked to death in Telangana's Patancheru city. The brutal incident took place on the Hyderabad-Mumbai highway in front of scores of people.
The video of the same was taken by locals and shared on social media. The deceased was identified as Mahamood, a fruit vendor aged around 40 years who hailed from Musheerabad in Hyderabad.
According to Times Now report, the deceased was returning from a court after a hearing in a case related to a murder. He was stopped by the assailant on the road and then brutally hacked as many passers-by watched the crime without trying to nab the criminal. In the video, one of the two assailants repeatedly hacked the victim on his head and neck with his dagger. They left the place only after ensuring that he was dead.
It was learnt that five months ago, Mahamood had murdered a man called Arshad Hussain. Police suspect that someone from the family of Arshad committed the brutal murder in order to take revenge, Times Now further reported.
It was only after the assailants fled the scene on a two wheeler, the locals rushed towards the victim who already succumbed to the brutal attack. They informed the Patancheru police immediately.
Meanwhile, the police said “Preliminary enquiries revealed that the murder was due to an old rivalry. The deceased was an accused in a murder at Lakdaram village of Siddipet district five months ago. The killers are believed to be his relatives. We are investigating the case."
