CAUGHT ON CCTV: MAN BEHEADS WIFE, WALKS ON STREETS WITH HEAD

In a brutal and shocking murder case, a man beheaded his wife and then carried her severed head through the streets of Vijayawada.

The accused identified as P. Pradeep Kumar who is a realtor, reportedly beheaded his wife, G. Mani Kranthi at Sri Nagar Colony in Satyanarayanapuram due to family disputes.

According to News18 report, the incident took place in broad daylight in front of her house. The CCTVs installed in the area captured people running in fear after seeing the accused with the head in his hands. When people started shouting, Pradeep threw the head in a nearby canal and then surrendered at Satyanarayanapuram police station.

As per Deputy Commissioner of Police Vijay Rao, the victim had been staying away from her husband for a year. Currently, the search is on for the severed head.  Meanwhile, the headless body has been shifted to a government hospital for autopsy.

The story dates back four years ago, when Pradeep fell in love with Mani Kranthi and married her. However, the couple got separated a few months back due to disputes and she filed dowry harassment and domestic violence cases against him, police added.

Police further state that, Manikranti had filed a case of domestic violence against Pradeep some time ago and he was arrested. He was recently released on bail.
