Majority of Muslims in India descended from Hindus: BJP lawmaker

BJP lawmaker Hukumdev Narayan Yadav on Monday reportedly said in Parliament, a majority of Muslims in India are descendants of Hindus. Quoting icon Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, the MP reportedly said, “Muslims of this nation should know that their ancestors were Hindus...and at that time Hindu gods were theirs.” He also reportedly said Muslims should respect the sentiments of Hindus and Hindus must respect Muslims.
