Over 2.9 lakh doctors from all over the country are reportedly observing a nationwide strike on Tuesday. The strike was called by the Indian Medical Association (IMA) in protest against the National Medical Commission Bill. The IMA has said that the bill is anti-poor, anti-people and makes the system prone to corruption. Reports say, private doctors are staging a 12-hour strike while government doctors are staging a one-hour strike against out-patients.
