The Hyderabad city police in a major crackdown on drunken driving sentenced 39 people to two – ten days imprisonment and imposed an overall fine of Rs 7 lakh. Reports say, one person’s driving licence was completely cancelled while the DL’s of three other people were suspended for a period of six months to one year. Police said their jail term was sentenced according to the level of alcohol in their blood.
