Milk farmers in Maharashtra have been protesting for two days now condemning the current milk prices. They have been demanding for a price hike and a subsidy of Rs 5 per litre. Amidst the ongoing protests, a man from Solapur protested in a unique way to extend his support.
Sagar Lendave reportedly bathed in 35 litres of milk and also washed his cattle with the milk to catch the attention of authorities. Yesterday, tankers carrying milk were blocked and vandalised.
Reportedly, milk packets were thrown on the road, thus affecting milk supply in the state. The farmers have vowed to start a 'Satyagraha' if the State tries to bring milk from other states.
