Maharashtra government introduces motorbike ambulances

According to reports, the government of Maharashtra on Friday deployed as many as ten motorbike ambulances equipped with primary facilities to provide swift assistance to patients, as part of a pilot project in Mumbai. Reportedly, these motorbike ambulances will work as an emergency first responder medical service, which will be available through 108 free helpline. Further, it will also be deployed with paramedics who will stabilise the patient until the four-wheeler ambulance arrives.
