According to reports, a woman cop was arrested for stealing Rs 50,000 from an MBA student who met with an accident near Pune. Pranita Nandakishore Bendre, the student, was riding in a two-wheeler with her father to deposit the money in a bank when the vehicle collided with another two-wheeler in front of Talegaon Dabhade Police Station. The woman cop, Swati Jadhav (32), rushed for help and took them to the station to comfort them. Jadhav advised the student to park the vehicle in the station and go for treatment. When Pranitha returned from the hospital, she found the bag with money missing from the dickey of the vehicle. When police started a search and examined CCTV footages, it was found that Jadhav took the bag. The cop later confessed to her crime and was arrested.
