According to reports, former Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda was on Wednesday reportedly disqualified by the Election Commission from contesting elections for three years. Disqualifying Koda for under-reporting the poll expenses during the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, the Chief Election Commissioner A K Joti reportedly said, “Unfair elections strike at the root of democracy”. Earlier, Madhya Pradesh senior minister Narottam Mishra was disqualified from contesting elections.
