News comes as a shock to families and LPG consumers as non-subsidised LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) or cooking gas prices have been sharply hiked from today. The state-run oil companies have hiked the price of LPG cylinders across all metro cities.
According to ANI report, in Delhi price rises to Rs 858.50 (increase by Rs 144.50), in Kolkata - Rs 896.00 (increase by Rs 149), in Mumbai - Rs 829.50 (increase by Rs 145), in Chennai - Rs 881.00 (increase by Rs 147). The LPG cylinder prices had not increased after 1st January 2020.
Below is a complete list of the prices hiked:
1. Delhi - Existing Price (714.00) Hiked With Effect From February 12 (858.50)
2. Kolkata - Existing Price (747.00) Hiked With Effect From February 12 (896.00)
3. Mumbai - Existing Price (684.50) Hiked With Effect From February 12 (829.50)
4. Chennai - Existing Price (734.00) Hiked With Effect From February 12 (881.00)
