According to reports, the Indian lorry owners’ association has announced that they will hold a strike for two days on October 9 and 10. Reportedly, they are holding the strike in protest against GST and diesel price hike. Functionaries of the association reportedly said the GST creates confusions and criticisms due to the differing policies of the Centre. They further reportedly demanded to bring diesel under GST act and also wanted the diesel price to be determined on a quarterly basis rather than a daily basis.
