The Kerala government has reportedly decided to raise the legal age of drinking from 21 to 23 years on Wednesday. Reports say, the State Cabinet has recommended amending Akbari Act for the purpose. Notably, the move comes after strong criticism from opposition parties that the government is showing no effort to bring down liquor drinking.
