Some reports claim that ‘Khichdi’ is going to be named the national food of India at a massive event in Delhi on November 4. However, a TOI report said Khichdi will be promoted as “Brand India Food” globally. The report said its earlier version claiming Khichdi will be named the national food of India was incorrect. As part of ‘World Food India’ food show to be held in Delhi, over 800 kgs of khichdi will be cooked live to create a World Record at the India Gate Lawns, the reports added.
