Father stabs woman to death night before her wedding

A 21-year-old woman from Kerala was stabbed to death by her father on the night before her wedding for trying to marry a man outside her caste. Allegedly, Athira belongs to the Ezhava caste and had tried to elope with her lover, Brijesh belonging to Scheduled Caste. However, her family members stopped them and promised to get them married. According to reports, Athira's father chased her and stabbed her to death, one night before her wedding day.
