Nadisha, a 34–year–old woman in her eighth month of pregnancy from Kottayam, Kerala died after she fell from a private bus. According to reports, as all seats in the bus were occupied when she boarded it, she was forced to stand near the door which was open. No one had offered her a seat. When the bus made a sharp turn, she was thrown off-balance and fell out of the bus, sustaining a severe head injury. She was admitted to a hospital where she succumbed to her injuries but the doctors were able to save her baby.
