RELIEF OFFERED TO FAMILIES OF NIPAH VIRUS VICTIMS

According to reports, the Kerala state government will be offering relief to the families of Nipah virus victims. Reportedly, the deadly virus has already consumed the lives of 10. Moreover, 90 from different states including Kerala, Karnataka and Goa have been quarantined. The government announced that Rs 5 lakh will be offered as compensation to the families of the 10 victims.
The victims include Lini, a nurse who succumbed to the virus while on duty. The government has offered Rs 10 lakh each to her two sons and a government job for her husband.
