With rains in Kerala ceasing a little, people are finally returning back home from relief camps. However, many have reported a new nuisance. People after returning back home are complaining of finding reptiles, including snakes, insects and even crocodiles in their house.
A man from Thrissur district returned home on Monday to find a crocodile in his house. He had to use the help of his neighbours and catch the crocodile using ropes. A snake catcher named Mustafa has reportedly caught almost 100 snakes after the floods.
According to reports, a hospital in Ernakulam district is treating 52 people for snakebites. Adequate anti-venom has been asked to be provided at hospitals.
