POPULAR ACTRESS SANJANA GALRANI ARRESTED IN DRUG CASE, HOUSE RAIDED: DETAILS

The central Crime Branch is currently probing incidence of drug abuse in the Kannada film industry. On Tuesday, actress Sanjjanaa Galrani was arrested in association to the case. 

The development comes after the city police arrested actor Ragini Dwivedi for supplying drugs to members at “high-end” parties in the city. 

Sanjjanaa was arrested on Tuesday morning after the CCB raided her residence in Indira Nagar. She was then taken to the CCB office for interrogation. 

"After obtaining a search warrant from the court, the searches were conducted at Sanjjanaa's house," the Bengaluru Joint Commissioner of Police Sandeep Patil said.

The CCBI told media that she came under the radar after her friend Rahul, a realtor was also booked in association to the case. 

The actress was born in Bengaluru. She is the sister of actress Nikki Galrani. Sanjjanaa made her debut appearance in the big screen in a Tamil movie ‘Oru Kadhal Seiveer’ in 2006. 

“Meanwhile, the police also raided the house of Viren Khanna, who has already been arrested by the CCB sleuths in connection with the drug abuse in the film industry. So far 13 people have been booked and six arrested,” Times Now reported.
