Ravi Belagare, the editor of Kannada weekly tabloid ‘Hai Bangalore’, was arrested on Friday for allegedly hiring a contract killer to murder his former colleague due to personal enmity, say reports. The fellow journalist Sunil Heggaravanahalli, however, escaped as the contract killer was caught by police. The contract killers, who were arrested for illegal possession of arms, during investigation, revealed that they were hired by Ravi to kill Sunil. Ravi has been remanded in custody till December 18.
