Andhra Pradesh government has announced that they will reduce the number of bars in the state, reports The News Minute.
Related to government's income sources, AP's CM Jagan Mohan Reddy held a meeting with the officials who detailed the revenues from their departments.
The government has announced that there is 8.91 percent decline in the revenue. "Although the officials mentioned the loss of license fee from alcohol shops, the Chief Minister is keen on alcohol ban and has taken a crucial decision for the same," the statement read.
The implementation of reducing the number of bars will happen from January 1, 2020. The government also said that bars should provide liquor only between 11 am and 10 pm.
