J&K POLICE DENY CLAIMS THAT KATHUA VICTIM WASN’T RAPED

The crime branch of Jammu and Kashmir police released a statement denying media reports and social media posts that the Kathua victim was not raped. Stating that such reports are “far away from truth,” the statement said, “it has been confirmed that the victim was found subjected to sexual assault by the accused” as backed by medical experts. Notably, the police have filed charges against eight people including two police personnel in connection with the case.
