The Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle or PSLV has successfully been launched after it was lifted off today at 9:29 am from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh. This comes four months after the failure of a satellite launch. The PSLV is carrying India’s 100th satellite along with the satellites of 30 other countries. K Sivan born in a humble farmer family has been appointed as the next chairperson of ISRO and this satellite launch is his first project after the appointment.
