IS MUMBAI POLICE "SHIELDING" MAHARASHTRA CM'S SON AADITYA THACKERAY IN 'SUSHANT SINGH RAJPUT DEATH CASE'? HERE'S WHAT WE KNOW SO FAR!

Conjectures and speculations underlined in a few media reports suggested that the Maharashtra government and specifically the Mumbai Police is trying to protect a politician who is connected to actor Rhea Chakraborty, late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend. She has been accused by Sushant’s family of transferring money from his account and forcing him to undergo mental pressure.  Few media reports suggested that Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s son, Aaditya Thackeray is connected to the case. 

“A photo of the state tourism minister with an actress went viral, with many claiming she was Rhea Chakraborty. The photo was actually of another actor,” NDTV cited in its report.

However, Aadithya Thackeray broke the silence recently and claimed that he is not connected to the case and also stated that he is being targeted for no reason. "The Maharashtra government is making all-out efforts to combat the coronavirus pandemic. Given the government's success and popularity, those who cannot digest it have started to play politics with Sushant Singh Rajput's case,” he said.

"It is like licking off the ‘ghee' from a dead body, which is sickening. Sushant Singh Rajput's death is sad and shocking. I have absolutely no connection with the case," the young politician added.

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut retaliated to these claims on Wednesday and alleged that there is a conspiracy to link the Maharashtra Tourism Minister Aadithya Thackeray to actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. 

"What has Aaditya Thackeray got to do with the Sushant Singh Rajput case? It seems the Opposition still cannot digest that the Shiv Sena-led government has come to power in the state," Raut told the media.He also added that those who are targeting Aadithya Thackeray will have to pay a heavy price for doing so.

The case took an unprecedented turn when the late actor's father lodged a complaint against actor Rhea Chakraborty and five others. Bihar Police has accused the Mumbai Police of not conducting the investigation properly while Mumbai Police retaliated to those claims in several instances.

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput reportedly died by suicide in his Bandra residence on June 14.
