Indian Intelligence agencies have warned the Government that Jaish-e-Mohammed, the Pakistan-based Terror group which was behind Pulwama Attacks, might scale-up attacks on the Security Forces in Jammu and Kashmir as well as economic targets in Mumbai.
Intelligence Reports further suspect that other major cities including Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and Srinagar might also be on the target list. Thorough security check is being conducted in Airports and Railway Stations and police department is on high alert.
According to report by Hindustan Times, JeM chief Maulana Masood Azahar’s younger brother Rauf Azghar has moved to Pakistan occupied Kashmir after meetings in Rawalpindi yesterday and a large number of JeM recruits are being moved from Punjab to Indo-Pak border. A three-member JeM team has been assigned to carry out attacks in Mumbai
This comes a day after Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan said India’s decision to revoke articles 370 and 35A could lead to ‘Pulwama-like incidents.” The BJP Government, on Monday, revoked articles 370 and 35A of the Indian Constitution which granted some special provisions to Jammu and Kashmir.
