According to a report by Hindustan Times, the autobiography of MK Gandhi was the most read book by the inmates of Delhi’s Tihar jail, followed by the Vedas and Swami Vivekananda’s books. “Everyone in prison reads it thinking it will change their life,” the librarian said. Reportedly, the prisoners can read for four hours in the library every day or take books to their cells using a library card.
