A 23-year-old IndiGo staff was arrested for making a hoax call regarding a bomb in one of their Mumbai-bound flights. Reportedly, the accused was warned by the airlines to improve his performance. He was reportedly depressed due to this and hence wanted to teach them a lesson.
The man called the Delhi Airport on May 2 informing them of a bomb in an IndiGo flight. The flights were scanned and the call was declared negative.
The police tracked down the staff's cell phone. A senior police reportedly said, "The call was placed from a number belonging to 23-year-old Indigo staffer, resident of Pune. The accused confessed his involvement in the case and was found to be serving IndiGo Airlines as a customer service officer at the Pune airport."
