A day after Indian Intelligence Agencies warned the Government of possible terror attacks in some of the major cities, sources say that the Indian Navy has put all its bases and warships across coastal borders as part of tightening the security.
The Intelligence reports said Jaish-e-Mohammed Leader Maulana Masood Azhar’s younger brother Rauf Azghar has moved to Pakistan occupied Kashmir after meetings in Rawalpindi and a large number of JeM recruits were shifted from Punjab to Indo-Pak border. It further said the Pakistan-based terror group has planned to attack security forces in Jammu and Kashmir as well as economic targets in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Srinagar and Chennai.
The centre, on Monday, abrogated articles 370 and 35A of the Indian Constitution which extended some special provisions to Jammu and Kashmir. Imran Khan led Pakistan Government was apparently not happy with India’s move and as a sign of protest, the country suspended bilateral trade and downgraded diplomatic ties.
Pakistan also stopped Samjhauta Express, the only train that runs across India-Pakistan border, at Wagah, yesterday, citing security concerns. The train was later escorted by an Indian crew and guard to Attari. The Information and Broadcasting Ministry of Pakistan has announced that Indian films will not be screened henceforth.
