The total number of deaths stand at 11,903 on Wednesday. 10,974 fresh cases of COVID19 were reported taking the total tally to 3,54,065, which includes 1,55,227 active cases and 1,86 934 recoveries.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be holding a second round of interaction on Wednesday with Chief Ministers of states such as Maharashtra, Delhi, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and others, which are seeing a rapid rise in COVID19 cases.
“On Tuesday, interacting with chief ministers of 21 states and UTs, the Prime Minister expressed grief over deaths due to the coronavirus pandemic in India while adding that India’s death toll was one of the lowest,” Hindustan Times reported.

As per media report, Chief Minister of Punjab, Chief Minister Amarinder Singh requested the centre to work closely with states to reduce the impact the virus is having on the country’s economy and also emphasized that the lockdown cannot continue indefinitely.
Meanwhile, researchers who are leading the RECOVERY clinical trial in United Kingdom announced that an anti- inflammatory drug, Dexamethasone can reduce the death by up to on-e third in patients who have been diagnosed with acute respiratory complications of COVID19. It is a low- cost drug.
