The district consumer forum in Mumbai reportedly ordered a hotel to pay a compensation of Rs 10,000 to an IPS officer who filed a complaint stating that the food and services were not up to the mark to pay the additional charges. In his complaint, he reportedly sought a refund of the service charge amounting to Rs 181.5 along with compensation and the forum directed the Punjab Grill hotel to pay Rs 5,000 as compensation and, Rs 5,000 as cost and service charge.
