HOSPITAL SEALED BY AUTHORITIES AFTER 80-YEAR-OLD FOUND TIED TO A BED!

At a hospital in Madhya Pradesh, an elderly man was tied to a bed, and not allowed to get discharged over non-payment of hospital fees.

Laxmi Narayan (80), had travelled to Shajapur for medical treatment for his stomach ailment. His family had paid Rs.11,000 for his treatment. However, at the time of discharge the hospital has asked them to pay an additional amount of Rs.11,270. The hospital also tied the old man, heartlessly to a bed to make sure that he was not discharged until the kin paid the money. The family did not possess the money and requested the hospital to discharge the elderly.

After typing his legs and body to the bed, an FIR was filed against the hospital. On Monday (June 8), actions were taken against the hospital and it was sealed by officials. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan had also seen the images of the elderly tied to the hospital bed. He said that justice will be assured to the victim and his family. Former CM Kamal Nath commented on the incident and called it ‘barbaric and inhuman’.
