HD KUMARASWAMY EXPANDS CABINET, 25 MINISTERS INDUCTED

According to reports, Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy expanded the cabinet on Wednesday and inducted 25 ministers. Out of the 25 ministers, 14 are from Congress, nine from JD(S) and one each from Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Karnataka Pragnyavantha Janatha Party (KPJP).
Kumaraswamy has been in power for 15 days after joining with Congress to compete against BJP. According to the power-sharing arrangement between JD(S) and Congress, the latter will have a share of 22 ministers and the former, 12 in the cabinet. Reportedly, with today's move, the strength of the ministry went to 27. Seven vacancies are yet to be filled.
The ministers took the oath before Governor Vajubhai Vala. Some of the ministers include HD Revanna, the CM's brother and Congress leader DK Shivakumar.
