Following the footsteps of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, Haryana Assembly on Thursday reportedly passed a bill approving capital punishment for rape of children below the age of 12 years. The Assembly also decided to establish fast-track courts to deal with rape cases at a faster pace and to ensure justice to victims. According to reports, Maharashtra and Karnataka are also mulling over similar bills.
