In a dramatic turn of events, a young couple's wedding in Gujarat has been called off since the groom's father and bride's mother fell in love with each other and eloped together. Reportedly the duo has been missing for the past 10 days while a missing complaint has been raised at the local police station by both (bride and groom) parties.
A wedding has been fixed between the son of a 48-year-old businessman who is also a member of a local political party and the daughter of a 46-year-old woman, the wife of a broker. To the embarrassment of the groom and bride, the businessman and woman fell in love with each other and eloped together. Due to the unfortunate incident, the wedding between the young couple has been called off.
The relatives close to the two families say that the businessman and the woman were childhood friends. They had been in love when they were young but due to circumstances, they could not get married. The incident has the shades of one of the sequences portrayed in a popular Tamil film where the character of actor Senthil would fall in love with another woman while his son Goundamani remains unmarried.
