According to reports, the Union Finance Ministry on Monday extended the deadline for people to link their Aadhaar to their Permanent Account Number till August 31, 2017. Further, the ministry announced that Income Tax Returns would be processed only after the Aadhaar-PAN linking. Notably, earlier in the day, the government had extended the deadline for filing ITRs from July 31 to August 5.
