In the Godhra train carnage case, the Gujarat High Court on Monday reportedly passed an order reducing the death sentence of 11 convicts to a life sentence. At least 59 people were charred to death when the S6 coach of the Sabarmati Express, returning from Ayodhya, was set on fire in February 2002. A Special Investigation Team in 2011 convicted 31 people and sentenced 11 to death while 20 got life term in jail.
