According to reports, a 40-year-old woman was rescued on Tuesday in Sanquelim village in North Goa where she was illegally confined to a room by her mother and brother for 20 years since she was a college student. Found in an emaciated condition, the woman is receiving treatment at the Asilo district hospital in North Goa, reports added. While no case has been filed yet, the woman’s statement will be recorded later as she is receiving treatment in hospital, police reportedly said.
