15-YEAR-OLD GIRL TRASHED TO DEATH, HUNG FROM TREE FOR RESISTING MOLESTATION

A 15-year-old girl was allegedly beaten to death, and her body hung from a tree after she resisted molestation attempt by 3 men in Uttar Pradesh's Mainpuri district.

The girl was returning from school on a bicycle after attending a function, organised to mark Gandhi Jayanti. The three men allegedly stopped the Class 11 student and dragged her to the nearby bushes. When the girl resisted the molestation attempt, she was beaten up brutally and killed.

The three men then hung the girl's body from a tree to make  the death appear like a case of suicide. The villagers soon gathered at the spot and informed the police about the incident. All the three accused have now been arrested.

The Uttar Pradesh government has come under heavy fire for its poor law and order in the state, after an Apple executive was shot  by a constable last week.
