Forming Cauvery Management Board not breach of model code of conduct: CEC

Chief Election Commissioner Om Prakash Rawat on Tuesday announced that the Karnataka Assembly elections will be held on May 12, 2018, while the counting of votes and results will take place on May 15, 2018. The model code of conduct comes into effect immediately in Karnataka. The CEC, during the press meet, clarified that forming the Cauvery Management Board as per the Supreme Court’s order is not a breach of model code of conduct.
