FORMER BJP LAWMAKER SHOT DEAD ON TRAIN

According to reports, former BJP lawmaker Jayanti Bhanushali was shot dead in the early hours of Tuesday onboard a train.

Bhanushali was reportedly travelling from Ahmedabad to Bhuj when unidentified assailants barged inside his coach and shot at him. The politician reportedly died on the spot. The attack took place when the train was between Kataria and Surjaabari stations. Bhanushali was shot in the eye and chest.

The train was brought to the Kalupur station in Ahmedabad, where the particular coach was separated. The railway police and the forensic department are conducting the investigation.

Reportedly, a rape case was filed against Bhanushali last year. Though he denied the allegation, he had to step down as the state Vice President.
