FIVE OF FAMILY DROWN IN SEA OFF RATNAGIRI COAST

According to reports, five members of a family from Mumbai drowned in the sea in Maharashtra’s Ratnagiri district on Sunday. Seven members of the family visited the Aare Ware beach, about 15 km from Ganpatipule where they were headed to. They allegedly went for a swim in the creek when they were caught in a whirlwind.
Locals jumped in to save the family. However, they were able to save only two members as the rest of them drowned. Ratnagiri police said that the bodies of the deceased were retrieved, while the survivors were taken care by police.
The deceased were identified as Keneth Masters(56), Monika D'souza(44), Sanomi D'souza(22), Ranchor D'souza(19) and Mathew D'souza(18). The survivors are Rita D'souza (70) and Lina Keneth Masters (52).
