The BJP-led central government has reportedly issued a notice to British firm Cambridge Analytica, which allegedly involved in the Facebook users’ data breach, on Friday. The government asked the firm’s response to six specific queries by March 31. The entity was also warned of legal action in case it failed to file a response. With the notice, the Centre seeks to know whether the firm was involved in the misuse of data to profile Indians and influence their voting behaviour, say reports.
