Union Civil Aviation Minister Jayant Sinha has reportedly ordered to review the ticket cancellation charges by domestic airlines. While some airlines charge Rs 3,000 for cancellation, the minister reportedly said, “The Rs 3,000 fee is in many cases more than the price of the ticket itself.” Stating that the Centre’s UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik) scheme has capped fares at Rs 2,500 per hour of flying, Sinha reportedly added, “These cancellation charges need to be brought back into balance.”
